Hi! My name is Roonie, and I’ve been working at the co-op for almost a year now!
I am passionate about art in all of its forms. whether it’s colors, collaging, jewelry or music, I love to express myself and show my creativity through these things. I love encouraging children to explore their creative side and lean into that as much as they can.
I have a little cat named dot, and taking care of her and loving her is a very important part of my life as well.
I started at the co-op as support staff but eventually made my way up to working full time as the lead assistant in the toddler and preschool room. It has been so nice to be able to get more involved in the co-op and childcare in general as I am unable to be in school at this point.
I have been working with children in various contexts for many years now and started working in childcare facilities two years ago. I have a deep appreciation for children and their unique perspective on life. They see things so vibrantly and authentically, and it inspires me every day to pay attention to the special details of life. The way children experience emotions is so fascinating and I feel so fulfilled when I can support them in growing and learning how to navigate these emotions and the world around them.
I am so excited to be here and to be a part of such a wonderful community!
