Hello friends! My name is Max Sandoval and I am a Lead Float Teacher here at the Co-Op Family Center!
My entry into the world of education began in 2010 when I graduated high school and attended the University of Oregon for Educational foundations. A year and a half later I wanted to extend my knowledge and began the UO Teach Masters Program. The following years I took some time off before COVID-19 came into our lives. Once COVID began to be manageable, I knew it was time to find a new home at a school. I saw the Co-Op had a lead float teacher opening and I jumped at the idea of getting back into some kind of school setting.
I remember being in college and telling myself “I wish I could explore with kids and have fun with them rather than guiding them to an answer and having to grade them for it”.
This is what we do here at the Co-Op. we explore. We learn. We play. We feel. We connect. I am lucky to be able to look forward to work every day and to learn and grow with these students at such a crucial time.
